Testing at Queensland Raceway today ahead of Darwin Triple Crown
Later this month the fifth round of the Supercars Championship will see teams heading to Northern Territory to escape the winter cold, for one of the biggest events of the year, the Betr Darwin Triple Crown.

Today, a number of QLD-based teams from Brisbane and the Gold Coast were staging a critical test day at Queensland Raceway to prepare, this included some of the sport's biggest names.

With one eye on the endurance events - the Penrite Oil Sandown 500 and Repco Bathurst 1000 - teams had some of their big name co-drivers in today including Triple Eight's Supercars Hall of Fame duo Jamie Whincup and Craig Lowndes.

Defending Supercars Champion Shane van Gisbergen also shared time behind the wheel of his #97 Red Bull Camaro with fellow kiwi Richie Stanaway as the New Zealand duo continue preparations for the co-driven events.

Coca-Cola Camaro #99 driver Brodie Kostecki holds an 87-point lead over his teammate Will Brown heading into the Darwin round.

Ford Mustang driver Chaz Mostert is third ahead of van Gisbergen who is 172 points behind Kostecki after one third of the season.

The Betr Darwin Triple Crown runs 16-18 June at Hidden Valley in the Northern Territory.

Every practice, qualifying and race session will be broadcast live on Foxtel and Kayo and Sky Sport in NZ.

The Seven Network including 7plus will broadcast Saturday and Sunday's qualifying and race action from Supercars' Indigenous Round live across Australia.
