About This Product:

The LH Torana came out in 1974 and was a bigger car than the Toranas before it. It was the first one sold as a four door only. The SLR 5000 was the top of the range and the model everyone remembers. It had the blacked out grille, side stripes with the SL/R 5000 badge, a front spoiler and sports gauges inside, and it came in bright colours like Barbados Green, Mandarin Red and Absinth Yellow.

The SLR 5000 was built from 1974 to 1976 before the LX took over. It made its name on the race track. Peter Brock and Brian Sampson won Bathurst in one in 1975, then Bob Morris and John Fitzpatrick did it again in 1976. That history is why the SLR 5000 is now one of the most wanted Aussie muscle cars, with original cars selling for serious money today.
